Wacissa River 4/30/12

It should be noted that drought conditions in north Florida are at a historic record. The Wacissa is the lowest it's been in more than fifty years. Fresh water is being funneled to the south of the state and bottled up a an alarming rate. Our fresh water resources are precious. 

Lake Piney Z :4/8/2012

Lake Piney Z in Tallahassee is also at very low levels. It is primarily a runoff lake but it is down about four and a half feet.

3/21/12: Springtime on The Wacissa River

Skipping on to Spring:3/1/12

Taking care of mom and dad has taken up a good deal of my photo taking time. Here are some shots from the yard on my way out the door this morning. My home is surrounded with dozens of azalea bushes which I planted many years ago. An early freeze took many of the blooms, which were quite early this year. Now is the actual beginning of the riot of color in my yard.
