Lady Devonshire of Avondale and The Greenway

Red Admiral butterfly
I returned to the Greenway Friday morning for a walk, thinking it had been so long since I had done so and without a dog, it isn't as much fun. I remembered how much Curly Dog liked this walk and wished again for a new dog . I have looked about for a canine companion since Curly went under the fence and over the wall three years ago. On my way home I spotted this little girl trudging up Devonshire all alone, dirty, with no collar. Home she came with me. I've begun a search for her family. In the meantime, I'm fostering her and my goodness, does she fit in around here! I cleaned her up, gave her a collar and I am going to check for a microchip but so far no one has claimed her. I want to keep her so much! She only responds to "treats" and so I've taken to calling her Trixie since Lady Devonshire of Avondale didn't float her boat. Isn't she adorable? I emailed the entire neighborhood and no one has missed her so far. I think she may have been sent by Mark....
