  1. As an aquatic mammal fan, I love the deer pictures.

  2. Is it common to see the deer swimming?
It seems they're very vulnerable in water--having no defense against a predator except an ability to run swiftly. (alligators?)

I envy your peaceful Sunday morning journey.

  3. With deer in the river I have observed that they are seen when I hear hounds baying. I've only seen them in winter. Alligators are less active this time of year. I haven't seen any the last few times out. I don't know if deer are aware of alligators. Perhaps in their collective unconscious! They cross the river quite swiftly and purposefully! Their kicks are to be avoided. Might swamp the boat! Mullets were actively jumping this past weekend. Why do these fish jump?

  5. Hey there,

These are wonderful pictures! I'm partial to otters as I think of them as the most playful creatures in the wild.
