Wacissa River 4/25/2014
It's spring in North Florida and the pickerel weed is blooming which means butterflies are coming. I haven't seen too many swallowtails yet but they love pickerel flowers so I am hoping. This red shouldered hawk is scanning the river for a meal. I took the afternoon off last Friday while my dear Christina the CNA cared for dad. I see more when I am carefree, I think. It hasn't been the case recently.
Osprey are all about and probably have a nest close by, this time of year.
Pileated woodpeckers are deviling trees.
Water sprites flock around the water's edge.
